During your beach vacation, you will definitely want to spend plenty of time on the beaches but if you and your family decide to take a break from the sun and venture to nearby attractions, we have some great options convenient to our vacation rentals!
The Hangout
This local spot is beachfront with great food and cocktail menus plus they have live music all summer long. You can also enjoy other events like beach volleyball tournaments, sand sculpture artwork and more while you “hang-out”!
LuLu’s
Another great restaurant option with plenty to keep you and the family occupied during your wait or after your meal is LuLu’s at Homeport Marina in Gulf Shores! They have an obstacle course, arcade games, photo-booths and a retail store. Don’t forget to try the gumbo while you’re there!
Fat Daddy’s Arcade
Do your kids love arcade games or are you looking for a unique date night spot during your vacation? This is the place! Fat Daddy’s Arcade is impressive with their selection of games and fun atmosphere. It is also directly in the middle of all the action so you won’t be far from the arcade anywhere on the island!
The Track
This is such a fun place for the kids (or big kid in you!) to visit during your vacation. They have a couple of wooden go-kart tracks on multiple levels and plenty of games to enjoy inside! There are many rides for all ages.
Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
You can’t visit our area without visiting the beloved animals at The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo! Benjamin the Giraffe, Bruce Quillis the porcupine and many others are there to keep you and the family entertained! You can feed the giraffes and goats, play with monkeys, meet the cutest porcupine and shop inside the impressive retail store with so many learning opportunities along the way!
The Photo Op Shop (permanently closed)
Does your family love social media and posting photos? The Photo Op Shop is a fun place to visit at The Wharf and is set up for different photo ops! Choose from different themes and snap your own photos with tips from their employees. Your children will have so much fun coming up with creative ideas to show their personalities through your lens.
Adventure Island
This is a fun, family-friendly attraction with mini-golf, go-karts, rides for all ages and lazer tag! Whether it is a cloudy day or you and your family simply want to try something new during one of your vacation days, this is a great place to visit.
