Ideas for Labor Day Weekend Entertainment

Dine + Shop

Spend a day at The Wharf in Orange Beach! The entertainment district has dining, shopping and attraction options. You can start the day with breakfast at Southern Grind Coffee House, build your own bath products at High Cotton Bath Co., shop clothing stores like Lucca Boutique, Joanna A Boutique, Southern Athletica, Sand Dollar Lifestyles or update your home décor at Sea La Vie Designs. Take a walk alongside the marina to view the impressive yachts and stop for lunch at YoHo Rum and Tacos or Ginny Lane Bar and Grill on the waterfront. Be sure to stop by the new selfie museum, which has so many fun photo opportunities for you and your family or friends to add to your social media! If you have young children, they would enjoy spending time at Build-a-Bear Workshop and take home a self-made souvenir from their vacation! Finally, take a stroll to Kilwin’s candy shop or Dip-n-Dots Ice Cream to finish the busy day with your favorite treats. Are you in town during a concert weekend? The concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater are impressive! You can find tickets at their box office.

Beachside Lunch

Catch an early lunch at The Gulf and soak in the sunshine while watching the boats flow through the pass. You can sit at this location for as long as you want! The outdoor picnic tables, view and cabana bars make this place the ultimate beach experience. Once you’ve enjoyed their famous grouper sandwich or shrimp tacos, head on over to the beach at The Pass for a day of sand and saltwater.

Adventure Seekers

Are you looking for a little adventure? Rent a jet ski or pontoon boat from Happy Harbor Watersports! Enjoy an hour or two on the water, stop for lunch at one of the many waterfront restaurants like Tacky Jacks or Cobalt. Once you’ve returned your watercraft, be sure to stop by Kayden’s Candy Factory for an afternoon sugar rush.

Wine + Dine

Are you more of an evening wine and dine person? You’ll enjoy the new Lauria’s by the beach located in Gulf Shores! The charcuterie boards and wine selection are great but the atmosphere of this fun little beach stop is fun! You will meet locals and vacationers and they will all give you plenty of advice on other places to check out during your trip!

Culinary Convenience

A great perk of staying in one of our condos or beach house rentals is the convenience of being able to keep groceries at your accommodation. Whether you cook for your group or you have a laid-back night of sandwiches and sides, you can do it from the comfort of your own space. Enjoy the view from your balcony or take a quick walk to the beach for sunset. The choice is yours!
